October’s seminar was our annual refresh on ‘The Modern Slavery Act’ in order to ensure every team member is aware of our policy and commitment to the 2015 legislation. As part of our Continuing Professional Development this training workshop was vital to develop staff knowledge of modern-day criminal behaviour within the industry.
Project7 is committed to driving out acts of modern-day slavery and human trafficking within its business and that from within its supply chains, including sub-contractors and partners. We acknowledge responsibility to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and will ensure transparency within the organisation and with suppliers of goods and services to the organisation. These as well as the suppliers of services make up the supply chain within Project7.
The training day involved a short seminar covering the Act’s legalisation, outlining the cruelties of modern-day slavery and trafficking and a range of measures on how it should be dealt with in the UK. This was followed by a group Q&A and discussion section. A group multiple choice interactive questionnaire was completed using ‘Kahoot’ to check everything was understood, finishing the day with a BBQ and team building games and activities.
